I am a Frontend Engineer currently working as an Associate Software Engineer at Red Hat. I have a strong interest in building modern web applications and enjoy exploring different areas of software engineering, including full-stack development, DevOps, and AI/ML. I am passionate about learning new technologies and sharing knowledge through the developer community.

Akashdeep began contributing to Fedora Project as the initiative lead of the Fedora Websites & Apps Team, before moving on to developing and maintaining Fedora Infrastructure projects as part of the Red Hat Community Linux Engineering team. He also contributes to Mentor Summit, Join SIG, Badges Revamp, Forgejo Initiative, and is in the Mindshare committee and the Fedora Council.

I've been a Fedora contributor since 2008, participating primarily in promoting Fedora in events, universities, tech meetups, conferences, etc.

With over a quarter-century of experience in systems administration, Alex blends his technical mastery with a passion for mentorship and community development. As the author of 'Fedora Linux System Administration' and founder member of the Fedora Mexico community, he strives to strengthen the technology ecosystem by sharing experiences and values of discipline and mutual support, proving that the human factor is the primary engine of open source.

Benjamin is the person who cares about the Weblate community and the happiness of the platform’s users. Long-time open source enthusiast focused on localization, collaboration, and user-friendliness, with experience from many projects. I’m Daniel Mellado, a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat. My work spans cloud-native networking, Kubernetes, Edge, and OpenShift Observability, where I contribute to the Cloud Monitoring Operator (CMO), Prometheus, Perses, and the Cluster Observability Operator (COO).

In the OpenStack community, I’ve served as a Project Team Lead (PTL) and as a Cross-Project Liaison for Kuryr. I contributed extensively to Kuryr-Kubernetes and its integration with OpenStack Neutron, helping bridge the Kubernetes and OpenStack ecosystems. My work is referenced in the “Leveraging Containers and OpenStack” use-case whitepaper, and I’ve spoken at OpenStack Summits on Kuryr onboarding, hybrid workload networking, and Kubernetes interoperability. I’ve also contributed to upstream networking efforts such as MetalLB.

I’ve been involved with the Kubernetes–OpenStack Special Interest Group (SIG), participating in early efforts to improve interoperability and cross-project collaboration between both communities.

In Fedora, I founded the eBPF SIG, where I focus on packaging and maintaining eBPF tooling. I’m currently working on packaging AYA, improving Rust vendoring workflows, and collaborating on enhancements to rust2rpm to better support Rust-based projects in Fedora.

I’m also a frequent speaker at FOSDEM, DevConf, and ConfigMgmtCamp, sharing insights on cloud-native networking, observability, eBPF, and upstream collaboration.

Outside of tech… I like to think I’m a pretty great bass player. 😄

David Duncan is a Principal Partner Solutions Architect and Open Source Lead at
Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he specializes in Linux infrastructure, cloud
systems, and AI/ML operations. David is a member of the CentOS Board . Based in Austin, Texas, David brings over seven years of experience as an AWS Partner Solutions Architect, focusing on open
source software and upstream contributions.

His current research interests include agentic AI frameworks, systematic finance infrastructure deployment approaches, and developing trading automation systems. David graduated from St. John's College in Santa Fe, NM and maintains an active presence in the open source community through his contributions to Fedora Cloud Edition, AWS CLI tooling, and various cloud infrastructure projects. David also hosts a weekly symposium for IT professionals in Austin, TX USA focused on Free/Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS).

Dominik is a long-time open source contributor with over 25 years of experience. He's been a Fedora user and contributor for almost just as long. As Fedora ambassador and packager sponsor, among his many roles, he tries to bring in new contributors and improve the multimedia experience in Fedora, which would be impossible without the help of many other Fedora contributors and upstream developers.

Ellis Low is a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat on the RHEL Lightspeed team and the creator of Docs2DB, an open source RAG system.

Justin is best known as an Open Source contributor and Free Culture advocate originally from the United States. Justin has participated in numerous Open Source communities and led different initiatives to build sustainable software and communities for over ten years.

In October 2022, Justin joined Red Hat as the fourth Fedora Community Architect (FCA). He works closely between the Fedora Project community and Red Hat to lead initiatives that grow the Fedora user and developer communities. He also helps make Red Hat and Fedora interactions more transparent and open.

Justin is also a contributor to the Fedora Project since 2015. In Fedora, he co-founded the Community Operations Team and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Team. He represented Fedora internationally at events and conferences, including FOSDEM, DevConf CZ, All Things Open, OSCAL, and others.

Kashyap is a Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat, and he currently works on RISC-V enablement in the Fedora Project. Previously, he was involved in multiple upstream communities for over ten years, including OpenStack and Linux-based virtualization software.

When not engaged in "risc-y" business, he enjoys hiking and learning classical piano.

Lukáš Růžička is a Czech quality engineer, open-source contributor, and musician based in South Moravia. He is deeply involved in the Fedora Linux Quality Assurance community, where he helps shape new releases through test case design, automated testing in openQA, release validation, and mentoring others in QA practices. Over the years he has become one of the familiar names around Fedora QA, regularly collaborating on tooling, documentation and infrastructure that keep Fedora’s testing process reliable and transparent.

Professionally and as a hobbyist, Lukáš moves comfortably between code and people. He writes scripts and test modules in multiple languages, experiments with local and cloud AI models, and builds automation around mailing lists and QA workflows. At the same time, he enjoys clear writing and good documentation, often polishing test cases or guides so they are understandable for both newcomers and experienced testers.

Outside the world of Linux and QA, Lukáš is an active musician with a particular love for keyboards, stage pianos and folk-influenced music and he plays in several local ensembles. He is also a devoted father of two daughters, with whom he explores castles, nature, water, and mythological creatures—often turning these adventures into creative side projects, from photo books to AI-generated illustrations.

In addition to being a consultant at Velocity Limitless, Neal Gompa is a developer for and contributor to Fedora, CentOS, AlmaLinux, and openSUSE. Neal focuses primarily on the base Linux system components, such as package and software management, and desktop Linux. He's a big believer in upstream first, which has led him all over the open source world.

Roman is a cybersecurity expert, engineer, and leader with over 18 years of hands-on experience securing complex systems and products at scale. At Red Hat Roman leads open-source security strategy, upstream collaboration, and cross-industry initiatives focused on building trusted ecosystems. He has built and scaled programs across security architecture, threat modeling, secure development, vulnerability management, incident response, and security education - for both engineers and senior leadership. His work spans trusted AI, privacy, compliance, and secure software supply chains. Previously, Roman led Product Security & Privacy for Data Center and AI software at Intel. He is a Security Champion for several open-source projects and an active contributor to working groups under the OpenSSF, Eclipse Foundation, and other global initiatives. He is an official member of CEN/CLC and ETSI standardization groups, contributing to the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

Stef Walter, Senior Director of Linux Engineering

Stef joined Red Hat in 2012 as an engineer working to make Linux integrated, discoverable, and usable. He has more than 20 years and 100 projects of experience working with open source. Among other things he led the RHEL Web Console “Cockpit” project, and became passionate about automating engineering tasks, integration testing and continuous delivery.

He now leads engineering responsible for a large part of Fedora and RHEL.

Stef has lived all over the world. He now lives with his wife and 3 kids in Germany with his wife and three kids. Stef gets into the mountains as often as possible, flying, climbing, skiing, and trekking.

Software engineer by craft, product owner by necessity, working on Fedora Project infrastructure and services with the Community Linux Engineering team. Outside of work, I build questionable devices, automation for my smart homestead, and attempt to grow food more reliably than software.
